  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • Optional Toppings:
  • Greek yogurt
  • avocado slices
  • chopped cilantro
  • shredded cheese
  • green onions
  • lime wedges

  7. 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  8. 1 can diced tomatoes
  9. 1 can crushed tomatoes
  10. 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  11. 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  12. 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  13. 2 tablespoons chili powder
  14. 1 teaspoon ground cumin

Notes

Storage:
Store leftover turkey chili in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 days.
Reheating:
Reheat on the stovetop over medium-low heat or microwave in short intervals until hot. Add a splash of broth or water if the chili thickens too much.
Freezing:
Freeze cooled chili in freezer-safe containers for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
Recipe Notes:
Let the chili simmer long enough to thicken and develop flavor. If you want a thicker chili, simmer uncovered for a few extra minutes. If you want it looser, add a small splash of broth.
